Today, the decision was made. Because of bad forecast for the next days, we decided to cancel the expedition. The conditions of snow won't get better as far as we can see, and sitting here and wait for days and days don't seems to be really useful. We are as far beyond our schedule, that it seems better to us, to start the expedition again next year.
Today we put whole our equipment in storage and looked for new dogs for next year. And a lot of people here in Constable Pynt are supporting our plan. It seems like they are also very enthusiastic of the idea of the expedition.
In the next hours, our dogs will picked up by Mikkel (a Inuk) and Ralf is happy, because he takes with him to Germany the leading dogs Gustav and Benjamin as well as a pregnant dog.
Michael and Peter thought a lot of the tour by pulka, but they have no choice, regarding the momentary weather conditions. Well, the Watkins Mountains are standing quite a long time here and we are sure, that they will wait for us until next year. They won't run away :-)
